St. Jude School & Preschool is a Catholic Christian community dedicated to sharing our beliefs, values, and gifts through our personal witness and faith commitment. With parental support, we enable each student to develop a strong foundation built on religious, academic, emotional, and social formation. Children of all religions, cultures, races and economic backgrounds are welcome at St. Jude School & Preschool.
St. Jude is a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Our school motto is “Going Above and Beyond” and we live out this motto by continually evaluating our educational programs and practices to ensure that we are able to meet the needs of all of our students. St. Jude School & Preschool is an EdChoice approved school. We are conveniently located at 594 Poplar Street in Elyria near highways 57 and 480 and just down the street from Elyria Catholic High School. St. Jude is attended from students from 20 different communities.
We invite you to come and explore all that St. Jude School & Preschool has to offer your student! Whether your child is a potential new student to our Preschool or Kindergarten programs, or a transfer student into an older grade, we welcome them with open arms into our school family. There are many opportunities to visit St. Jude School & Preschool to see if our school is the right fit for your family. Our annual Open House is the last Sunday in January each year from 11 am till 2 pm and provides an excellent opportunity to meet our teachers, staff, current parents and students. In addition, we have a Prospective Parent Breakfast scheduled for Thursday, April 19th beginning at 8:00 am in the St. Jude Family Center which provides parents and guardians with the chance to visit St. Jude School & Preschool during a typical school day. We ask that you preregister for this breakfast by calling the St. Jude School & Preschool Office at (440) 366-1681 by Monday, April 16th. Individual tours can be scheduled at your convenience by calling the school office. Students are also invited to come and shadow with their class. Our shadow day is Thursday, May 3rd. Contact the school office to register for the annual shadow day or to arrange an individual shadow day if that date does not work for your student.
