Junior High Service Hours

At St. Jude School, we stress the importance of service as a lifestyle.  We want our students to realize that service can be a meaningful, worthwhile endeavor in many areas.  A call to service is a response to the call to discipleship, and we feel it is important that students recognize the challenges and rewards of giving service in a variety of ways.

For the 2017/2018 school year, junior high students will be required to complete 5 hours of service each quarter.  Three of the five service hours will be for school and/or church, and two of the five hours will be for community.  Each hour of service will equal ten points towards the student’s religion grade for the quarter.  Hours are due one week before the end of each quarter. Students will respond to a reflection form for each service completed.  A copy of this form can be found by clicking on the link below:


Seventh and eighth grade students have the opportunity to earn service hours by working at the Helping Hands Food Pantry during their monthly Saturday food distribution.  Parents must complete the following form before their children can participate:
