Junior High Service Hours
At St. Jude School, we stress the importance of service as a lifestyle. We want our students to realize that service can be a meaningful, worthwhile endeavor in many areas. A call to service is a response to the call to discipleship, and we feel it is important that students recognize the challenges and rewards of giving service in a variety of ways.
For the 2016/2017 school year, junior high students will be required to complete 5 hours of service each quarter. Three of the five service hours will be for school and/or church, and two of the five hours will be for community. Each hour of service will equal ten points towards the student’s religion grade for the quarter. Hours are due one week before the end of each quarter.
